80 Years

Tana's 80th birthday culminated with watching reels of home movies, surrounded by all of her kids and, as she says, "my perfect grandchildren." Turns out Grandpa was always behind the camera, which meant the ratio of elk/fish/Montana-mountain footage outnumbered family shots 10 to 1, but there were some sweet shots.

We stuffed Grandma all day long, starting with Swedie hotcakes at my house in the morning and finishing with chocolate cake, and that was post-Magleby's prime rib and lobster.

Doesn't she make 80 look good?
